WECC Compliance

Balancing Authorities and utilities in their Control Areas in the Western Electric Coordinating Council region are subject to numerous real-time reporting requirements. ASCE's MIS Platform delivers structured data to WECC in the format WECC requires to meet these requirements.

We work with your organization to understand requirements and provide required data to WECC. Our interface is built atop ASCE's MIS server infrastructure with real-time monitoring of hourly and real-time data sources.

Scheduled Interchange Forecast

If available, we work with internal data sources. When no trading-based data is available, we can create a system which will enable your organization to easily enter the necessary data via an Intranet website.

Load Forecast - Interface to leading providers

ASCE's MIS provides an interface with systems from Pattern Recognition Technology and others. Once integrated, we move data into WECC-required formats for real-time transmission to WECC.

Unit Commitment

Actual Data transmission or Algorithmic generation
Users of OATI and other Trading products likely have the data available to provide an actual Unit Commitment forecast. When no trading data source is available, our algorithms can create a forecast based on other data sources.
